What’s better than an adventurous engagement session? One with some pretty awesome people. And let me tell you, Lauren & Jordan are the coolest. I had the pleasure of spending time with adventuring around Charlotte, NC. They trusted me with finding a location for their engagement session and magically dressed so perfectly in the surroundings. I’ve enjoyed getting to be a part of their love story and can not wait for their wedding in May. We started our day with their pups, Franny & Rigby. The answer to “Can we take some pictures with our dogs?” is always yes. Especially when they are this cute.
I’ve always been fascinated by architecture and abandoned buildings. After researching some locations around Charlotte, I stumbled upon a very cool looking building for the backdrop of their engagement session. Traveling and adventuring to a new place is always a bit nervewracking because it’s either going to be as cool as you think it is or you have to do your best. This was way cooler than I thought it was going to be and am still in love with how perfectly Lauren and Jordan complimented the space. The juxtaposition with urban decay was something Lauren and I were both excited about and I’m happy we achieved it.
I asked Lauren to share their love story (stayed tuned for more after their wedding!)
The next stop on our Charlotte engagement session adventure was downtown. We stopped at Romare Bearden Park near Uptown. Can you just look at these two!? I love that my clients trust me, even before the wedding day, enough to let me have full creativity during their engagement sessions. I couldn’t have asked for a better day adventuring with Lauren and Jordan.
Lastly, and After a quick outfit change, we made our way to Wooden Robot Brewery in Southend Charlotte for a beer and a break. This is one of my favorite breweries in the Queen City and if you haven’t been, you should check it out. There we saw a lot of dogs and talked about their Asheville brewery wedding and the margarita bar it’s going to have. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS! Next, we went to NoDa and chased the sunset. Again, we saw more dogs before finally ending our night with some brews and tacos at Cabo Fish Taco. This day I learned that Lauren and Jordan are a perfect match for each other. They have a zest for life and laughter like no other couple I’ve ever met. It is safe to say we hit it off right away and now call them friends.
