At dinner with some friends, we got on the topic of apps. They suggested I make a blog post on the subject and I’m happy to share my favorites below.
Editing takes up a lot of time. I have my editing playlists, of course, but most recently I’ve gotten into Audiobooks. Don’t forget about Podcasts but you guessed it, I have an app for that. Hoopla is my go-to for Audiobooks. All you need is a library card and most public libraries have the option to get a card on their websites. This app is FREE and incredible.
Some books I’ve borrowed include Wishful Drinking, Girls on Fire, and Bad Behavior.
The only downside to Hoopla is it doesn’t have everything available. It does, however, give you access to free Audiobooks, free e-books, music, and movies.
As I said above, I love podcasts. I currently subscribe to My Favorite Murder, Lore, Ghosting Around, and Teen Creeps to name a few. All my Podcasts are in the overcast app. It downloads new episodes, keeps track of what has been played, and has smart speed to save you time while listening. The app even recommends other podcasts for you to listen to!
If you’re a wedding photographer who spends time editing or just someone who loves audiobooks and podcasts, both of these apps are a game changer. Stay tuned and check back for my photography related apps! I’ll be posting book and podcasts suggestions on my Instagram, so give it a follow here.
